Terms and conditions

These terms of use are a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”), and KiwiTest (“KiwiTest”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) concerning your access to and use of the https://kiwitest.nz website (the “Service”). By accessing the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you must not use the Service.

The content offered by KiwiTest has been developed from publicly available information about New Zealand citizenship rules and the topics announced for the citizenship test. Practice tests are not presented in the same way or format as the official test, which has not been released. The New Zealand Government does not endorse, approve, or attest to the validity of this material, and KiwiTest is not affiliated with the New Zealand Government.

Unless otherwise indicated, the Service is our proprietary property. All source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, text, questions, explanations, and graphics on the Service (collectively, the “Content”) are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright.

You may link to and quote our Content for fair-use purposes such as review or commentary without asking for permission, provided you include a direct link to the source.

By registering an account you agree to receive service emails such as account confirmation, billing receipts, and important announcements at your email address. You can unsubscribe from any non-essential emails at any time. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.

You agree to use the Service in a lawful and respectful manner. You must not:

• use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose;
• interfere with or disrupt the normal functioning of the Service or its servers;
• copy, scrape, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the Service or its question bank without our permission;
• share your account or paid access with others;
• use the Service in any way intended to damage our reputation or goodwill, other than honest review.

Your quiz answers, scores, and mistakes are stored so the Service can track your progress and let you retry questions you got wrong. We may use answer data in aggregated, anonymised form to improve the question bank and study materials — for example, to find questions that are confusing or too easy. Aggregated data never identifies you.

Full access to the Service requires an active subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically according to your selected billing plan (weekly, monthly, or every 3 months), which is clearly displayed on our pricing page and on the Stripe checkout page before you confirm payment. Prices are in New Zealand dollars.

At the start of each billing cycle Stripe generates an invoice and charges the payment method on file. Once an invoice has been generated it remains valid and payable, even if you cancel immediately afterward, because billing occurs for the full period in advance. Failed payments are retried automatically by Stripe. When a payment succeeds you will receive a receipt by email.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal (Pricing → Manage or cancel subscription). To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, cancel at least one hour before your renewal date. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not affect invoices already generated or paid — you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for. The billing portal is securely managed by Stripe.

The Service has a free tier — including a complete mock test and the full study guide — so you can properly evaluate the product before paying. For this reason, payments are final once processed and are generally non-refundable. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us and we will look into it.

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove content of the Service at any time at our sole discretion, and to modify or discontinue all or part of the Service. We cannot guarantee the Service will be available at all times; hardware, software, or maintenance issues may cause interruptions, delays, or errors. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the Service for violations of these terms and to take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts that breach them or the law.

We care about data privacy and security. Please review our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you agree to be bound by it; it forms part of these terms.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

If you have a complaint or claim relating to these terms or the Service, contact us first at hello@mmios.dev and give us a reasonable amount of time to respond and resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve it, send us your final notice by email and allow four weeks for a response before taking any legal action.
